the unreal game
Trapped in the game of zero and one
your life floats away
until the final minute has come
As you lie on your bed you reckon you die
and for the first time in your life you seriously ask
“Why ?”
You’re always connected
without true connection
around the real corner friendship abides
Too lazy to move, too shattered and shy
you say to yourself: “tomorrow I’ll try!”
The game you switch on
to slowly numb out
Your soul is a desert
it’s desperate to drink
and as you won’t listen
it sets about to shrink
still longing so much!
- but less than before –
it makes you watch them be the scientists
who do search for more
You watch them joke and you watch them fight
and have their adventures by day and by night
Oooohh…right!!
The second-hand feelings water a bit…
but stop being fooled!
It’s a short-term fix
merely waterdrops on shriveled lips.
Remember the day you reckon you die
so it won’t be the first time you seriously ask
“Why
did I let my life float away
til this final minute has come
already dead before death
trapped in the game of
zero and one?”
